Ian is from the local area and has been in business since the age of 23. He ran a successful joinery / carpentry business for 25 years before setting up Betamindes in 2005 with his wife Dawne.  Ian has a personal interest and experience of looking after family members with different types of dementia and has used this extensive knowledge to create the quality service provided today.

‘On setting up Betamindes we had a very clear picture of the future, “our vision”. Today we are determined to stick to our principles and believe that everyone is entitled to the care package of their choice and Betamindes will be there to support our clients to make the process as seamless as possible’

Registered Manager

Dawne worked within the NHS as a Registered Mental Nurse from 1985 – 2006, gaining vast knowledge and experience in the psychiatric arena before moving specifically into Dementia care in the late 1990s.

Dawne set up and managed day care centres in joint ventures with the NHS and Social Services in the West Midlands and South Cheshire area before launching Betamindes in 2005 as a family run business in her local area of Wistaston.

Care Manager

Fiona comes to Betamindes with an extensive background in the care sector having undertaken various care roles throughout her career. Fiona has links with nursing, social and flexible care services.  Prior to her role at Betamindes, Fiona was supporting a major care provider in the role of Regional Operations Manager. Skilled and knowledgeable, Fiona’s commitment to excellence assures quality care delivery across our range of services.

Care Coordinator

Julie started working at Betamindes as a Home Care Assistant in January 2016. Julie came with a wealth of knowledge and experience was invaluable to the team. This led to her being promoted to Senior Carer, and a year later to Care Coordinator.

Julie helps to ensure everything runs smoothly with her excellent rota management. She is fully dedicated to suitably matching clients and carers to gain the best possible outcomes.

‘The Care Coordinator role is an exciting challenge as no two days are the same! I really enjoy meeting clients and their families, and then, along with the professional teams, we help them to create their very own, unique careplan’

Care Administrator

Christine started working for Betamindes as a Home Care Assistant in 2017. Christine has years of experience, having spent a large part of her working career dedicated to homecare. Chris was promoted to the Care Administrator in 2019 and works both roles alongside each other.

Christine is ‘our eyes and ears’ out in the community, she is fully visible to support both carers and clients on a daily basis. As a care administrator she manages our audits and updates careplans as changes happen.

‘I enjoy being out in the community and meeting with peers. I love working for Betamindes and seeing first-hand, the different ways we can support people in many different situations’
